PSA: I tried a 12-inch sliding miter saw against my old 10-inch for a big crown molding job in a Denver house.
The extra reach on the 12-inch let me cut the big pieces in one pass, saving me almost a full day of setup and tricky cuts, so has anyone else switched up their main saw for a specific project and been surprised?

Man, that's the whole game right there. We all get stuck using the same tool out of habit, even when it's making the job harder. It's like using a butter knife to cut a steak because it's already in your hand. Sometimes you just gotta grab the right tool for the real task, even if it means changing your whole routine.

Used to fight this idea but your steak knife example totally changed my mind.

Know exactly how you feel. I argued against that same point for years at my old job. We kept using this broken software because it was familiar, even though it wasted hours every week. Finally switching felt like putting down a butter knife and picking up a real one. The resistance is real, but so is the relief when you stop fighting yourself.
