Hot take: I used to think miter saws were overrated, then a door casing job changed my mind

For like 10 years I did all my trim with a handsaw and a miter box. Thought power miter saws were for guys who couldn't cut straight. Then last month on a job in Portland, I had to cut 42 pieces of casing with odd angles because the walls were all out of square. The homeowner's Dewalt was sitting right there, so I finally gave it a shot. After 3 cuts I got the speed thing. Did the whole dining room in under 2 hours, which would've taken me all day before. My secret? I was just stubborn, not skilled. Anyone else switch tools late in their career and feel dumb about waiting?
