Brand new framing nailer jammed on me 3 times in one morning
Picked up a new Paslode cordless last week and thought I was set. Got to a job site in Oakland yesterday and by 10am it had jammed three different times. I had to stop everything and spend like 45 minutes pulling nails and clearing out the mag each time. My foreman was not happy since we were behind schedule on that townhouse build. Has anyone else had problems with these newer models or did I just get a lemon from the factory?

Sounds like you got the "jam session" upgrade they forgot to mention in the manual. Nothing says "money well spent" like needing a pry bar before lunch on a townhouse build.

and thats exactly what I was thinking. I swear these newer Paslodes are built different in all the wrong ways. Had a buddy whos been framing since the 90s and he swears by the old yellow ones, says the internals are just more solid. I heard from a guy at a lumber yard that a whole batch of the latest cordless models had these defective feed pawls that just chew up the nails and cause jams like crazy.

Hang on, is it really the tool's fault or could it be the operator? I've got the same model and ran a whole basement rough-in without a single jam. Sounds like maybe the nails or the depth setting are more to blame than the factory.
