My old manager said to always take the money job over the title job, and I ignored him for 2 offers in a row

My buddy Dave turned down a job with a fancier title two years ago and the guy who took it got laid off in six months while Dave got a raise at his boring-sounding job. Same thing happens with cars, houses, clothes, people chase the flashy thing and end up broke and stressed. The paycheck pays your bills, the title just impresses people at parties who forget your name anyway lol.
