Finally cleared out my dad's garage in Mesa and found a 1972 Datsun under 14 blankets

My dad passed 2 years back and I kept putting off the garage because it felt like too much. Last Saturday I finally drove over to Mesa with a dumpster and got started. Under a stack of old blankets in the back corner sat a 1972 Datsun 240Z with a tarp over the whole thing. My dad bought it new and parked it in 1994 when the clutch went out, and he never moved it again. Now I need to figure out if a car that sat for 30 years in Arizona heat is worth saving or if I should just cover it back up. Has anybody here pulled a car out of long term storage in the desert?
