PSA: lashing a tarp down with 550 cord in 40 mph gusts taught me something about camp pillows
I swear by my 8 dollar inflatable pillow, but last weekend at Lake Havasu the wind ripped my tarp setup apart three times and the pillow deflated flat by 2am. Turns out the cord I tied it off with stretched so much in the cold that the whole shelter sagged onto my face, and a guy two sites over said I should've used shock cord to keep tension. What's your go-to fix when wind turns your gear against you?
