I finally tried one of those $120 titanium ultralight sporks everyone raves about, and honestly, it just feels like a flimsy fork.
After it bent trying to scoop some frozen chili on a trip last month, I'm back to my old plastic one, so has anyone else found a good middle ground that's actually durable?

What about a stainless steel spork? Mine's been solid for years.

Titanium is actually a poor choice for a spork because it's too flexible. The whole point of a tool is to work, and a bent fork is useless. My Snow Peak titanium bowl dented the first time I dropped it, so I switched to aluminum. The plastic spork you went back to will snap in the cold, that's a fact. Sometimes paying more just gets you a weaker product made from a trendy material.

@juliashah actually I had a buddy who swore by his titanium spork for years until he tried eating some cold backpacking chili and the tines bent sideways on the first scoop lol. He switched to a stainless steel one from some camping store and said it felt like a tank compared to the Ti. Never had a problem since even in freezing temps.
