Hit 50 nights out with my gear this year, all logged
I kept a simple tally in my phone every time I slept outside, and this past weekend I passed 50 nights for 2024. That number surprised me because I thought I was doing maybe 30, but the receipts show I camped in 11 different state parks from Virginia to Tennessee. The kicker is my cheap tent from 2019 has seen every single one of those nights without a single pole snap or seam leak. My sleeping pad though, that's a different story, I replaced the valve after night 22 and the foam core is starting to feel flat. Anyone else track their nights per year, and did your gear last as long as you thought it would?
