Warning: I blew off compression fittings for 8 years, then a guy in Tulsa showed me one trick
I always stripped and crimped every F connector because that's how I was taught back in 2016, and I figured push-on fittings were just a lazy shortcut that would cause callbacks. Last month a tech in Tulsa handed me a compression tool and had me redo a drop on a brick house where the old crimps were pulling loose, and the signal lock was solid on the first try with no wiggle. Now I keep 50 of them in the van, so has anyone else made the switch or am I late to this party?
