Took me 3 jobs to realize I was stripping coax wrong the entire time
For like 2 years I was using the cheap stripper tool and always nicking the copper braid. Thought it was just normal wear and tear. Then a senior guy watched me terminate one day and just goes 'bro why you cutting so deep?' He adjusted the depth setting on my tool in 5 seconds and my signal losses dropped way down. Anyone else have a basic tool setup wrong for way too long?

Wait, are you actually seeing a real difference in signal or just assuming it's better because the braid looks cleaner? I've stripped hundreds of these with a jacked-up tool and never noticed any real-world drop in performance.
