TIL taping the drop to my fish rod with a rubber band saves me 20 minutes per attic run
Was running a 75 foot drop through a blown-in attic in Mesa last Thursday and kept losing the cable off the hook every time it snagged a truss. Wrapped a rubber band around the cable and rod tip so it flexes instead of popping off, and it slid through 3 truss bays without one drop. Any of you got a better trick for keeping the cable locked on when you're working solo?

Tape the cable to the rod tip with a couple wraps of electrical tape and leave a little slack loop so it can flex. Been doing that for years on solo attics and it almost never pops off. Also hit the truss bays at a slow steady push instead of forcing it, way less snagging.
