Just realized I've been crimping RG6 connectors wrong for years because my old boss in Tampa showed me a shortcut that actually sucks.

A guy I was training last week pointed out my crimps were failing the pull test, and it finally clicked that skipping the center conductor trim was causing all my service callbacks.

Stick with you forever" seems a bit much. It's just a cable connector, not open heart surgery. Most people would never even notice a slightly weak crimp.

Wait, he didn't even do a pull test? That's wild, lol. I'd be scared the whole thing just comes apart in your hand.

Oof, that's rough. Those bad habits from old bosses stick with you forever. I always do the trim and a solid pull test now, no shortcuts. What was his shortcut even supposed to save, like two seconds?
