Took me 5 hours to figure out why a cabinet door wouldn't close, and it was a 2 cent fix
Ngl I wanted to throw this shaker door across the shop last Tuesday. Client's kitchen in Boise, the door hit the frame at the top corner, so I re-hung the hinge three times and still nothing. I checked for racking, checked the box for square, even shimmed the cabinet off the wall thinking the floor was out. Around hour four I ran a straightedge along the hinge stile and found a tiny bump of dried glue right where the cup seats, about the size of a grain of rice. I scraped it off with a chisel, popped the hinge back on, and the door shut like butter. What's the dumbest little thing that ate half your day like that?
