DAE think we've lost the art of fitting drawers by feel?

I was taught to test drawer slides with a push and listen for the sound. Now folks just measure with lasers and call it good. But that personal touch catches small issues before they become big problems. Why don't we trust our hands anymore?

Honestly, I used to rely on tools too, but feeling it taught me more.

But what kind of things did you actually learn by skipping the tools? Like, were there specific frustrating moments that made something click later, where a tool would have just given you the answer?
