Yeah flat fee lawyers are the way to go for SSDI stuff. Found one in Sacramento who did the same thing and it saved me so much headache not worrying about the clock ticking.

Heard a disability lawyer on a podcast say flat fees actually make them work faster since they want to keep a good reputation for referrals. Makes total sense, you're not watching the clock on every call.

yeah that makes a lot of sense actually, @the_anthony i had a flat fee lawyer for a completely different thing a few years back - was dealing with a landlord who wouldn't fix our heat in winter. the lawyer charged one flat rate and honestly i think he worked faster because he knew if he dragged it out i'd be on every review site telling people. plus it meant i didn't have to keep track of every five minute call which would've driven me crazy. seems like with SSDI stuff especially that would be a relief since those cases can take forever and you're already stressed enough.
