I finally got my SSA decision letter after 14 months of waiting
I noticed a lot of people on here keep sending in the exact same medical records without adding new doctor notes or test results. My lawyer told me we had to submit something new every 3 months or the judge would just see a stale file. Has anyone else had luck with a specific type of evidence that moved their case forward?

14 months sounds like a standard government waiting room.

Used to think DMV horror stories were mostly just people being dramatic. Then I sat in a county zoning office for 3 hours over a 10 minute permit question. That changed my mind real quick. 14 months for a government response sounds about right when you've seen how deep the piles of paper go on those desks. My neighbor waited 8 months just to get a street address assigned to his new house. Government operates on its own clock and it never matches ours.

Call them weekly and ask for a status update, it usually speeds things up a bit.
