Turkey fryer mishap turned into a 911 call on Thanksgiving

Last Thanksgiving I figured I'd try a turkey fryer for the first time. Big mistake. I put the turkey in frozen, oil exploded everywhere, and my neighbor's fence caught fire. Fire department showed up in 8 minutes, but the whole block smelled like burnt bird for days. My mom still brings it up every holiday. Anyone else had a fryer disaster or am I the only one who nearly took out the neighborhood?
