Finally stopped burning pancakes after 3 months of trying
I used to just dump batter in a cold pan and hope for the best, but now I preheat it on medium for exactly 2 minutes first. Tried it last Sunday and got my first golden brown batch without a single burnt edge. Anyone else have a simple fix that turned their cooking around?

lol nice work, mine still come out looking like a crime scene half the time. I finally figured out that flipping them too early was my issue, kept getting that raw dough center with a burnt shell situation. I just wait until I actually see bubbles forming across the whole surface now and it's like a whole new world.
