My sister insisted I should only use a black pen in my bullet journal. Tried it for a month and I'm switching back.

Honestly, the whole one-pen rule is just silly. Your bullet journal is a tool for you, not an art project for someone else to judge. If color helps you organize your thoughts or just makes you happy to open the thing, that's the whole point. A month is more than enough time to prove it wasn't working for you. Go back to your rainbow pens and tell your sister to manage her own notebook.

Come on, that's a terrible take. Rules and limits force you to be creative and actually focus on the work, not just making it pretty. Using one pen cuts out all the time wasted picking colors and stops you from hiding messy planning behind fancy decorations. Your sister might be onto something, pushing you to build a real habit instead of just a hobby.

It's just a notebook, not a life philosophy. You tried her way and it didn't work for you, so why overthink it? What's the big deal with using a few colors?
