I finally went back to a plain notebook after 5 years of fancy setups
Started bullet journaling back in 2018 with a dotted Leuchtturm and colored pens, the whole tracker system, mood logs, habit wheels, all that. It looked great on Instagram but I was spending more time decorating than actually writing stuff down. Last month I grabbed a $3 composition book from a Rite Aid in Sacramento and just used a single black pen. No titles, no washi tape, just rapid logging. Weird thing is I actually stuck with it longer than any fancy spread I ever made. The basic stuff got done, my future log is three lines, and I don't panic if I skip a day. Anyone else ditch the pretty pages for a bare bones setup and find it works better?

The bare notebook takes all the pressure off.
