Serious question, tried layout with a story pole on a garage build in Reno and it kept me dead straight
I marked every stud, plate, and opening on one 2x4 first instead of measuring each wall fresh. Cut my framing time on that 24 by 30 garage by about 3 hours, and nothing drifted more than 1/8 inch over the whole run. I always figured story poles were for old timers who hated tape measures. Anyone here still use one on simple builds, or just me?
