Update on my automatic grocery delivery subscription

I signed up for a 'convenience' service that sent me a box of random food every month for $35, but I ended up tossing half of it because the stuff was weird or went bad before I could use it. After three months, that was over a hundred bucks down the drain for food I didn't even want. Has anyone else had a similar issue with these auto-delivery plans?

Oh man, that reminds me of a coffee bean subscription my partner got me. It sounded great, but they kept sending these super dark roasts that just tasted burnt. We don't even have a grinder, so we had to buy one of those too. Ended up with bags of beans we hated just piling up in the cabinet. Sometimes the surprise is the worst part, right?

Sounds like @the_alice's partner accidentally subscribed them to a fireplace starter kit.

I used to think subscriptions were a good deal, but my sister's coffee disaster made me see how wrong that is.
