Rant: My brother-in-law tried to roast me for bringing a thermos to his BBQ
Went to his place in Sacramento on the 4th and he kept making little jokes about me carrying a Stanley thermos instead of grabbing a soda from his cooler. What he didn't know is that I've been bringing my own coffee everywhere for about eight months now, and it saves me roughly $6 a day, which adds up to almost $1,500 a year. He finally asked why I was so attached to it, and I just showed him the math on my phone right there by the grill. He went quiet for a second, then admitted he spends $5.50 at a drive-through near his office every single morning. Funny thing is, he texted me two days ago asking what thermos I use. Any of you ever convert a family member by accident?
