Last-minute cruise deal slashed my vacation costs

I grabbed a cheap cruise ticket only days before it left. Now I could take a nice trip without blowing my budget. Where do you look for good travel bargains?

Ugh, did you get caught by one of those "free trial" things that auto-renews? @hill.stella is totally right about the extras wrecking any deal. Honestly, I fell for that last year with a meal kit. The discount was great, but then I missed the cancel window and got charged full price for three months. You really have to check if the "extras" are actually optional or just hidden fees. Tbh, most of those deals aren't worth the hassle they cause later.

What about the brain space it takes to remember to cancel? (I mean, setting alerts just adds to my to-do list.) That worry is kinda like paying with your peace of mind.
