Remember when finding a decent gym on the road meant asking at the hostel desk?
Now I just use free workout apps and bodyweight exercises in my room to save cash and stay fit.

That "two square feet of clear floor" is the real modern gym membership. It cuts out all the nonsense and overpriced contracts. We figured out the whole industry is a scam.

Tbh a friend of mine used the "gym" at a cheap hotel in Brussels once. It was a concrete hallway with a duct-taped yoga mat and one of those plastic water jugs filled with sand. Honestly felt more like a storage closet they forgot to lock. He said the vibe was less "fitness journey" and more "interrogation room." Makes that two square feet of floor sound pretty solid.

Tried asking a hostel guy in Rome once and wound up in a basement that was definitely just someone's laundry room. Now my "gym" is the two square feet of clear floor between the bed and the bathroom door.
