Missed my flight in Denver because I refused to pay $40 for early seat pick
I was at gate B23 in Denver and the agent gave away my seat 3 minutes before boarding closed because I booked basic economy to save $40 on a $180 ticket. I ran to the counter and asked about rebooking, and they put me on a flight 9 hours later for a $75 fee, so I grabbed a $12 day pass for the train and explored the city instead of sitting in the terminal. Has anyone else turned a missed flight into a mini trip, or do you just eat the cost and wait it out?
