Spent $12 on a bag of frozen meatballs and fed my whole family for 3 days

Honestly the time savings part is what gets me. Yeah you saved money but think about how much time you saved not having to go to the store multiple times that week. When I buy fresh stuff I end up running back out for one missing ingredient or because the kids changed their minds. Frozen meatballs mean one trip, one purchase, done. Plus no standing there on a Tuesday night trying to figure out what to cook - just open the bag and you're half way there already. That's worth something too.

Is it really that deep though? Like we're comparing frozen meatballs to fresh meat and acting like it's some kind of life hack. You buy meatballs either way, they're just in a different aisle.

Flip it around and think about the waste factor here. Most people buy fresh meat, cook it, then toss the leftovers after a few days because they get bored or it goes bad. Frozen meatballs let you pull out exactly what you need each meal, so nothing gets thrown out. That $12 bag probably saved you another $8 in wasted food you would have bought fresh and forgot about. Plus you can mix those meatballs into pasta, rice, or even chop them up for tacos so nobody gets sick of eating the same thing. Feels like the real money saved is in not having to clean out a fridge full of slimy ground beef on trash day.
