Tbh that lentil curry sounds like a smart move. Saving a few dollars on dinner means more breathing room when the car needs a surprise repair or the kids need new shoes. It is less about having extra fun money and more about feeling a bit safer when life gets expensive. My budget meals have saved me from panic more than once.
