Last Tuesday I was making rice for a stir fry and forgot to lower the heat after it boiled. Foam went everywhere, all over the counter, took 20 minutes to clean. I was so annoyed I just boiled spaghetti in the same pot for dinner instead. Ended up cheaper and faster than the rice. Now I mostly skip the rice cooker and do one pot pasta with whatever veggies are on sale. It uses less water too so the flavor is better. Does anyone else have a backup meal for when a staple fails?
