Dropped $35 a week on takeout, now it's $12 for three meals
Used to grab a burrito bowl every lunch break, that was 5x a week. Started doing one big Sunday cook with rice, beans, and whatever veg is on sale. Spend about 45 minutes total and get three lunches plus a dinner out of it. The trick was buying the big bag of rice instead of the small one. Wait, does the Sunday meal prep actually taste okay by Wednesday or are you just used to it by then? My buddy tried this exact thing and swore by it for like a month, then hit a wall when his rice started tasting like cardboard by day three. He switched to making a big pot of chili instead, that thing honestly got better as the week went on, and he'd throw an egg on top for dinner to change it up.
