Can we talk about the $9 rice cooker that ruined my Sunday?
Bought a $9 no-name rice cooker at a flea market in Bakersfield six months back and it scorched a full batch of jasmine rice during a potluck last Sunday, so now I'm out the cooker plus ten bucks of good rice and back to the pot on the stove, and I'm wondering if anyone has had luck with a cheap one that actually holds its heat steady.
