The thrift store scale in Peoria taught me a new trick

I was at this Goodwill off War Memorial Drive last month, and they had a digital scale by the jewelry case. I weighed a few of the framed prints I was looking at, and one was like 8 pounds, another 2 pounds. Turns out the heavy one had a solid wood frame underneath the cheap backing, so I grabbed it for $6. Now I bring a little pocket scale to any thrift shop that has one out, it changes how I pick paintings and mirrors. Has anyone else tried weighing stuff at their local spots?
