Took me 6 weeks to figure out why my peace lily kept drooping

I was watering it twice a week, moving it to different windows, even repotted it before I finally realized the drip tray was cracked and the roots were sitting in stagnant water, has anyone else had a plant problem that should have been obvious but took forever to spot?

Did your friend ever figure out why their fern just gave up for no reason?

Did you ever check if the water was actually draining out before you repotted? I've done the same thing where I just assumed everything was fine underneath the pot, but turns out the tray was cracked from the day I bought it. That would explain why the soil always felt soggy no matter what you did.
