Showerthought: my pothos finally got happy after I quit using tap water
I have a golden pothos named Steve on my kitchen sill in Boise. For a year the leaf tips kept going brown and crispy no matter what I did. Last month I started filling a jug with tap water and letting it sit on the counter for 24 hours before watering him. The brown tips stopped cold in about 10 days. Turns out my city water has enough chlorine that it was bugging him. Now I just keep a jug cycling on the counter and it's basically free. Anyone else noticed their plants perk up once they stopped pouring straight from the faucet?
