Unpopular opinion: I used to think hosting a big game night was better than a small one

Tried a 10-person event in my apartment last month and it was chaos, but a 4-player session last Friday felt way more focused. What's your ideal group size for learning a new game?

Totally agree, three or four is perfect for learning anything new!

Disagree, I've had some of the best learning moments in big, chaotic groups. The energy just hits different.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. My last big game night turned into a total mess trying to teach people. I'm with @robert_lopez64, three or four is the sweet spot. You can actually explain the rules without shouting, and everyone gets a turn fast enough to remember how to play. Anything over six and my brain just checks out.
