My buddy tried to help at the forge and nearly singed his eyebrows off.
Now every time we meet up, he tells the story like he survived a dragon attack, lol.

Wait, he tells it like a dragon attack now? That’s a big jump from some singed hair. Did he add in a part where the anvil melted or the hammer turned into a magic sword? Next you'll say he claims the forge roared his name before he wrestled the fire out with his bare hands.

Honestly that's how every minor accident turns into a legend with some people. He probably tells it with more drama each time, like the forge was breathing actual fire. Next he'll claim he fought the dragon bare-handed and saved the village. Gotta love how a little singe turns into the story of the century for his ego.
