I always thought a bigger hammer was the answer for moving more metal.

My mentor in Spokane watched me struggle for twenty minutes on a thick bar and said, 'You're hitting it, not pushing it.' He had me use a lighter cross-peen and focus on the angle, and the metal started moving like butter. How do you guys think about hammer weight versus technique for drawing out stock?

That question from hunt.nora hits so close to home. I was just trying to plan a simple weekend trip and ran into the exact same wall. The cost of getting a rental car that fits everyone plus a decent hotel room just feels impossible right now. It really does feel like you have to pick one or the other, comfort or getting there, and neither choice feels good.
