Used to marathon whole seasons in one night, now I can barely get through two episodes

Honestly, back in 2018 I'd crush a full 10 episode season of something like Ozark in a single sitting. Now I'm lucky if I stay awake through two episodes of anything after 9 PM. I think it started when I got a real job in 2021 and my attention span just tanked. Anyone else feel like they lost the ability to binge watch after their 20s hit?

dude i feel this so hard. for real. it's like my brain just hit a wall somewhere around 27 and now i can't even get through a two hour movie without checking my phone like five times. i used to stay up till 4am finishing a show and then be fine for work the next day, now i'm nodding off during the intro credits. it's not even that i'm tired, it's like my focus just gives out after 45 minutes or something.

nodding off during the intro credits" is such a specific mood, I feel that in my bones. But here's something nobody's talking about - it's not just age or work, it's that streaming services changed how they make shows now. These days every episode is designed to be this dense, cinematic thing with no room to breathe, so your brain just gets overstimulated and taps out.
