Am I the only one who thinks a 22 episode season drags compared to a tight 8
Watched all of The Bear in two nights last week, then tried to get through a 22 episode network drama and quit by episode 9. Anyone else find themselves bailing on longer seasons now, or is that just me?
Watching a 22 episode season feels like a part time job you didn't sign up for. You spend the first three episodes just trying to remember who all these people are and why you should care about the guy who runs the coffee shop. By episode nine you realize half the plot has been filler and you could've skipped twenty percent of it without missing a thing. The Bear just hits you with eight tight punches and gets out before you lose interest. Network TV treats viewers like we have infinite time and nowhere else to be. I've got a whole list of shows I started and never finished because they dragged me through too many pointless side stories.
