My coffee ritual was ruined by too many buttons
I remember when brewing was a quiet start to the day. Now I'm just troubleshooting a machine that beeps at me.

My buddy just went through this with his new fridge. Thing started beeping at three in the morning for no clear reason. He spent an hour trying to silence it, pressing every combination on the touch panel. Turns out the filter light needed resetting after a change, but the alert just said "check system." He missed work that day from pure frustration. When did basic appliances need their own IT department?

That line about troubleshooting a machine that beeps at me really hits home. My car started doing that last week. Every time I turn the key, it chirps about a door being open. All doors are shut tight. Now I have to dig through a manual just to drive. Feels like we're all just beta testing our own stuff.

Have you checked if it's actually the trunk or hood sensor? Those fail way more often than door latches. Modern cars just love finding new ways to be wrong.
