Found a wild stat about how much time we spend deciding what to eat

I was reading this time use report last week and it said the average person spends about 76 hours a year just deciding what to eat, not even cooking or shopping. That made me think about my own dinner debates with my wife, has anyone else noticed how many minutes get eaten up just picking a meal?

My wife and I spent 23 minutes last Tuesday just naming restaurants. Ended up eating cereal.

My buddy Tom and his girlfriend had this exact same thing happen to them last month. They spent like 25 minutes going back and forth about where to eat, couldn't agree on anything, and ended up making ramen from a packet at 9 PM. The funny part is he told me they do this almost every weekend now. Something about having so many options that it just shuts down your brain and you end up with whatever is in the pantry.
