My uncle's 'measure twice' advice cost me a bathroom reno weekend
My uncle Larry swore by measuring twice before cutting. I followed his rule on a tile job in Phoenix last weekend. Measured the wall, measured again, still came up 2 inches short. The second measurement was wrong because my tape hook was bent from a drop. Lost a full Saturday fixing my cuts with a wet saw. Anybody else have a relative's golden rule that bit them on the backside?
