Last Saturday I hit a church rummage sale in Lansing with $20 in my pocket and found two things I wanted: a wobbly particle board bookshelf for $15 and a stack of 40 records for $10. I went with the shelf since it looked like real furniture, but it collapsed on the drive home and dumped half the records onto the floor mat. The next weekend I found a plastic milk crate for $2 and it holds the whole stack fine, sits solid on the floor, and I can flip through the records without pulling them out. Should I bother fixing the shelf or just keep stacking crates until my living room looks like a warehouse?
