Serious question, I just realized my clipper oil routine was way off
For years I'd just put a couple drops on the blades after each cut, thinking that was enough. Then a barber named Carlos at the convention in Dallas showed me his method: he oils the whole moving part, runs it for 10 seconds, wipes it, then oils the blades again. Tried it and my Wahl Seniors run quieter and cooler now. How often do you guys fully oil your clippers?

My old boss at Supercuts in Toledo swore by a full oil bath once a month, even for clippers we used every day. He'd take them all apart on a slow Monday, soak the parts in oil, and let them drip dry on paper towels. Honestly, it seemed like overkill until my personal pair lasted almost five years without a single service call. I still do a mini version of that every few weeks.
