Overheard a kid say 'my barber uses the clippers with no guard' and I nearly choked on my coffee

I was at a diner in Akron last week and this teenager was bragging to his friend that his barber does a full fade with no guard at all, just bare metal. I had to bite my tongue because I knew that kid was going to leave with a bald spot or a burn line. It got me thinking about how many people just trust any barber because they sound confident. Has anyone else run into a client who came in from another shop with some wild story like that? I swear I hear something new every month.

Man I had a guy come in bragging about his last barber using a butter knife and I just stared at him.
