Warning: I put a white noise machine outside my roommate Dave's door to drown out his 2am games, and now I can't sleep without it
So Dave plays COD until 2am every night in our thin walled place in Austin and I finally snapped and put a $40 white noise machine in the hallway between our rooms. Plot twist, it worked on his noise but now I'm hooked on the thing and catch myself dragging it into the kitchen when I make coffee at 6am. Here's the debate though: is training yourself to need a machine just as bad as dealing with the noise, or is it a fair trade? Half of me says I just traded one problem for another, so what would you all do, keep the machine or go back to earplugs?
