Shoutout to the guy at the Walmart on 5th who showed me how to block a spot hog
He told me to park my truck right at the edge of their driver door so they cannot open it, and it worked in 3 seconds, but now I am stuck wondering if that is genius or if I am just becoming the thing I hate, so which side are you on?

Read a thing a while back from a driving school that said most door dings happen in the first few minutes after you park. People swing doors without looking because they are still in a rush to get inside. So blocking them before they even get out kind of cuts it off at the start. Still feels wrong but I get the logic.

Did you see that study saying most parking fights start with door dings?

Used to figure people get mad over scratches or someone taking their spot. After reading that study though it makes sense, door dings happen right when you're standing there watching and that's what sets people off. Saw a guy lose it last month over a tiny dent on his door, cops showed up and everything. Good call @stellachen, that study got me thinking different about it.
