I just learned my local library gives out free museum passes and I am shook

So I was at the circulation desk yesterday returning a cookbook and I noticed a sign saying "Museum Passes Available." I asked the librarian about it and she said they have passes for like 8 different museums in the city, including the science center which is usually $25 per person. You just check them out like a book for the day and return them the next morning. I booked the natural history museum for this Saturday and it saved us $60 for two adults and a kid. I had no idea this was even a thing and I have lived here for 5 years. Has anyone else found something unexpectedly free at their library that blew your mind?

Wait did they tell you if there is a limit on how many times you can borrow passes per month or is it just first come first served?

Actually it's 30 per YEAR not per month, so use them wisely.

30 passes a month? Man that's wild. I would've figured it was unlimited or something.

Our library only lets us check out 2 passes per month, so I wasted one on the art museum where I literally fell asleep on a bench in the modern art wing. At this rate I'll have to start a rotation schedule with my own family members to get our money's worth out of the science center.
