My neighbor's 5 minute tomato tip changed my whole setup

Last spring, my neighbor Roy saw me staking my tomatoes with those flimsy green cages and just laughed, then showed me how he prunes suckers with his bare hands in under 5 minutes a plant. He said the trick is to do it every Saturday morning before the sun gets hot, and I figured I'd try it for a month on just two plants out of my 14. Honestly, those two plants outproduced the rest by a solid 30 pounds by August, so now I'm wondering how aggressive do you all get with pruning your tomatoes, especially in humid climates like mine in Georgia?
