Shoutout to the nurse in Cleveland who asked if I was okay during my awkward moment
Last month I was in a waiting room in Cleveland and tried to walk through a glass door that was shut, then just froze there for a good 5 seconds and pretended to check my phone. A nurse nearby gently asked if I needed help finding the right door, and instead of being embarrassed I just laughed out loud, which felt weirdly freeing. Has anyone else found that laughing at your own cringe moment in the moment makes it way less awful later?
